Academic Year 2015 Entrance Ceremonies
Hitotsubashi University held entrance ceremonies for the academic year 2015 at Kanematsu Auditorium on April 2, 2015. The ceremony for undergraduate students started at 10:00 a.m., and that for graduate students at 13:30 p.m. The number of matriculating students was as follows:
Undergraduate: 1,029 students
Graduate: Master¡¯s programs: 340 students; professional master¡¯s programs: 178 students;
doctoral programs: 104 students
Many matriculating students and their families attended the ceremonies.
Ceremony for Undergraduate Students
- Opening
- Performance of Waltz of the Flowers from “The Nutcracker”(Tchaikovsky) by the Hitotsubashi University Orchestra
- Address by Koichi Tadenuma, president of Hitotsubashi University
- Recitation and signing of the student oath by the representative of matriculating undergraduate students
- Singing of the university song
- Closing
- Commemorative lecture by Craig Calhoun, president of The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)
Ceremony for Graduate Students
- Opening
- Performance of Waltz, Op.34-1 (Chopin) by Takashi Yamada
- Address by Koichi Tadenuma, president of Hitotsubashi University
- Recitation and signing of the student oath by the representative of matriculating graduate students
- Closing
